My ass skinny jeans make you feel good
My ass skinny jeans make you feel good. When I’m not on maternity leave I’m the fashion editor of The Sydney Morning Herald. So imagine my frustration when I hit the shops for two hours last week in search of a pair of jeans and came home with nothing. Zip. I confess I have a wardrobe full of skinny jeans that I love to wear when I’m not bending over all day picking up baby or changing a nappy. Basically they are hot for the office but not for home. Now I’m forever defending the fashion industry but I have to admit I was down down down on fashion when I couldn’t find one single pair of jeans that I didn’t have to lie down in to do up. Admittedly I did have one major prerequisite – I was not going to spend over $250. You can find the perfect pair of jeans for $400 but that wasn’t my budget on this particular excursion. Thankfully I have the luxury of being able to talk to designers directly and the team at sass & bide assured me they have styles that you can move and bend over in. So, to cut a long story short, ten minutes in the sass & bide boutique at Bondi Junction I walked away with a pair of Crackerjac cargo pants for $250 (pictured right) that feel like trackie pants but look hot-to-trot.
